“ My soul this little gem is amazing. Matt the bartender was kind, makes a mean drink, was helpful with area info. Food was awesome! I had the crab cake appetizer and a side salad- both were excellent! Hubs had the Rueben with fries and it was perfect! Will definitely be back when we are around this part of the country. ”
“ Our family came here for dinner during the busy fall-peeper season so we weren't surprised there was a wait for dinner. It didn't take long to be seated but they let us know it would be 45 minutes to get food (it only took 30). In the meantime we enjoyed delicious beverages and the servers (Diana was amazing!) were friendly and attentive even though super busy. Franconia is a quieter local town than the more commercialized other local ski towns and we were thrilled to be visiting. It was cool to see people from all over the world and have a long chat with locals at the end of the night. Oh yeah, the food was delicious also! Big menu. I'm not sure I cared though because the ambiance made it the most special. ”
“ We chose this because it was the closest restaurant to where we were staying and it worked out well! The food was excellent. I got the shrimp, basil, and three cheese pizza which was more than enough for one person but I ate it all because I could t take it with us! My husband got the cowboy burger which he enjoyed very much - he said there were so many flavors. Our waitress was Diana who was very friendly. I did think service was a bit slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived although there were others in the bar. Diana seemed to be the only one working and after we arrived, other customers began trickling in. The phone also rang somewhat frequently with orders for pick up. I definitely think they could have used another server. The place is very attractive. I'd go back again. ”
“ Everything was great! Service to start was super! The food was sooooo good. Best meal I've had in a week traveling through New England. Started with the delicious French Onion Soup and finished with the grilled meatloaf with mash potatoes, gravy and fresh broccoli and carrots. Wish I could get the recipe for this meal. My husband had the hamburger which he also said was great! ”
“ What a fun place! Great food! Wonderful servers! Amazing owners who work their ass off for the business! Well Done Jennifer and John! ”
“ Amazing everything top to bottom: food, service, atmosphere. Hometown friendly vibe. I was treated like a local who has been coming here for years. Came for dinner two nights in a row. Beef stew and bison ragu were off the charts. Plus they have a pool table. ”
“ With bike week and a gorgeous, sunny beginning of the weekend crowding the 'more well known' places, I chose to NOT wait for any place posting an hour - even an hour and half!- wait. Checked the internet for restaurants near me while in Franconia and this appeared. It definitely was not a mistake to eat there, as it is cozy and popular with NO wait! With only one waitress, I expected a longer wait than usual, but was wrong, as she was pleasant AND efficient! I ordered the veggie pasta bows and was not disappointed( except, like all right now.. the price was ridiculous for lunch, but actually better than most places. $15 plus $3 for ice tea. The few tables quickly filled, yet my server maintained her efficiency. I am quite certain I will return here, rather than deal with the over-popular Polly's Pancakes farther up the hill. ”
